[2025] The Crew Behind ShipJobs

Who We Are — We are The Crew of The ShipPaulJobs Blog.

This blog was not built to chase trends, promote products, or represent organizations.
It was formed by individuals who share a deeper question:

How will the maritime industry truly change in the age of AI, data, and cybersecurity—and who will shape that change from the inside?

The Crew is a group of practitioners from shipbuilding, shipping, automation, cybersecurity, and software engineering.

Each of us works in different roles and environments, but we are united by the same posture:
to study first, verify in the field, and then share what actually works.

Our Attitude as Crew

We approach Maritime 4.0 not as spectators, but as operators and problem-solvers.

  • We read regulations to understand intent, not just compliance.

  • We interpret class rules and standards through real system architectures.

  • We discuss smart ships from the engine room, the bridge, and the control network—not from slides.

  • We challenge assumptions, document lessons learned, and leave a trail others can follow.

This blog is our shared logbook.

Our Ambition

Our ambition is not to dominate the market, but to quietly influence how it thinks and moves.

We believe:

  • Better understanding leads to better decisions.

  • Clear interpretation of cyber regulations reduces confusion and risk.

  • Open, experience-based knowledge accelerates real adoption of smart ships and cyber resilience.

Through consistent study, writing, and discussion, we aim to contribute to an industry that is more resilient, interconnected, and ready for what comes next.

Why We Sail Together

We gathered this crew because no single role—Captain, Deck, Engine, Security, or Automation—can navigate Maritime 4.0 alone.

Only by sharing perspectives across boundaries can we design ships, systems, and policies that actually survive the real world.

This is not a company.
This is not a marketing channel.

It is a crew—learning, questioning, and moving forward together.
